Refund Policy: CMI Individual Lessons: Makeup Lesson Policy
If a teacher is absent from a scheduled lesson, the lesson will be made up.
Each student is allowed (not granted) one make-up lesson in person at the School of Music due to illness or family emergency during make-up week. No refunds or make-ups will be granted for additional absences.
Inclement Weather Policy
CMI will update the homepage of our website with cancellation information by 7 a.m. on any day when snow, ice, or windstorms may cause public school or University building closure or delayed opening. Cancellation notice will not be given by email.
Please utilize your best judgment in making decisions regarding travel and safety with regard to campus travel when weather conditions are hazardous: if you are unable to travel to campus on a day when classes and lessons are in session, please notify your instructor in a timely fashion, as our usual makeup policies apply.
We will do our utmost to provide makeups or alternatives for lessons and events canceled due to weather, but cannot guarantee this. We regret that we are unable to make up Suzuki Strings classes or Chamber Players coachings due to staff and facility scheduling limitations.
Withdrawal Policy
Students wishing to withdraw from the program must file a written notice to the Director and CMI office.
Refunds are given at the discretion of the director. One month's tuition will be held as a non-refundable deposit in the event of withdrawal.
It is the goal of CMI to foster discipline, teamwork, and dedication to challenge each student to achieve his/her highest potential as an individual and ensemble member. Therefore, students are expected to have a consistent level of commitment to their lessons and classes. If there is an ongoing problem with attendance or preparation, the student may be asked to withdraw from the program.
